He Can't face the Music

An English phrase was born through a Chinese story, you might be wondering how is that? So the story goes…
Once there was an Emperor who loves music, he so loved it he organized a Royal Orchestra. The flutist of the Royal orchestra doesn’t really know how to play the flute, he just blows the instrument but no music was coming out of the flute, but he the benefits for being in the Royal orchestra, lodging, first class treatment and food fit for a King.
One Day the King asked each musician to play for him, the Flutist said he was sick at the night of the performance, so the King send his Royal Physician to check the flutist, and the Physician reported that the Flutist was not sick. When the King ordered for the Flutist to be captured, the Physician told the Royal Guards… "The Impostor Can’t Face The Music"
I chose to write about this because even the story is old, it is still applicable in the modern world. There are impostors, pretenders whatever we call them, but when confronted with the truth they can’t handle it (Jack Nicholson ringing in my ear).
Let’s be true to ourselves and be who we really are.
This entry is for a friend…

My Pot of Gold

At the End of the Rainbow there's a pot of Gold, and I've found mine after years of hunting and waiting. I know a lot of bloggers have blogged about this, how heavenly they tasted and how they crave for more, but I just want to share the reason why I bought the ice cream and why I am blogging about this… When I was a kid, since my Dad likes English movies, I was exposed to Hollywood movies, I would cover my eyes if there’s a kissing scene or learn a few English bad words but I can not forget how they depict that ice cream is a good comfort food which I learned when I grew a little older that it was a great comfort food, but since I was a kid I would wish that I can eat ice cream the way Hollywood stars eat their ice cream in the movies. From the dark covered pint cup, with their silver spoon digging to the creamy and tasty ice cream that waters in their mouth that would always make their eyes close savoring the flavor. I don’t know with others but we eat our ice cream in

Home is where the Heart is

You can take the Pinoy out of the Philippines but, you can't take the Philippines out of the Pinoy. In the case, food... - Nicanor David Jr. from "Kwentong Tambay", 2006 Ah this one is true, I've heard of it. I came from a family who works abroad, halos lahat sila, actually konti na nga lang kami dito sa Pilipinas e. Anyway, back sa topic. My sister lives in UK been there for quite some time and she went here in the Philippines after 5 years and the first thing she asked me to do is Dial 8-7000 (singing: Jollibee Delivery). My Dad is in USA for, well, a very long time now and once in a awhile if there is a family friend visiting Philippines we will ask them to bring my dad several frozen tapa from the famous Maty's in Prañaque which is in a microwavable container. Filipinos can endure the work and long hours abroad but they can't really resist not to look for Filipino food. I remembered my cousin who's in Singapore she was telling us how she craved for ric
