The Power of Six

I watched “I Am Number Four”, first before reading the book, and I have to thank my cousins for insisting that we watched the movie because of Alex Rider, Alex Pettyfer rather. I enjoyed the movie and thought of reading the book. Actually I didn’t plan to read the book, it was just there in front of me on my desk and coincidentally I wasn’t reading any book at that time. Just reading few pages of the book, I found myself hooked and could not close the book and sleep. So when a voucher from this bookstore was delivered to my house I immediately made a trip to the bookstore with no book title in mind. Thankfully “Power Of Six” is already out, I didn’t think twice, I grabbed the book and paid it with the voucher.

I could not put the book down, it was like a movie inside the book, always putting me at the edge of my seat, devouring each page. I have lots of anticipation with each page, almost reading as if the letters are just passing by my eyes and could not wait to turn another page just to know what will happen next. I usually get up from my office chair as soon as the clock turns , that day, I brought the book because I have to wait for the bank to open, (I work at nights by the way, bank opens at 830am) guess what? I left the office at 930 in the morning just for me to finish the book, because I could not bring myself into thinking that I have to keep the book for a while and do errands before reading it again, the sequences, revelations towards the end of the book makes me want to finish the it before anything else. I would recommend to anyone who wants to read Power of Six to read during your free time, and make sure you will not have to do anything else for a couple of hours. Because I assure you, you will not get up from where you are seated until you have finished it.

The only question is? When’s the next book due?

The Reading Challenge

At the start of the year there were two reading challenges I committed myself to The Goodreads Reading Challenge where you will decide how many books you can read for the year. The other one I got from my cousin but upon searching in Google it's a Popsugar Reading Challenge.  I must have underestimated my annual calendar because I challenged my self to red 50 books in Goodreads. I thought "50 books? Oh that's nothing, I have all the time in the world." And guess what? It's mid of November and here's my reading challenge. Apparently I didn't plan on being too busy during mid year but I'm not complaining I just didn't expect it to be like that. Still, I'm happy to I have read 25 books so far. And these are mostly YA books. What's with YA anyway? Am I old to be reading it? But that's another blog entry I suppose. I am happy to discover new authors that I will sure follow (Sarah Haas, Cassandra Rose Clarke) and the likes. With these 2...

How To Be Interesting So That Other Can Envy and Notice You

My whole 32 years of existence, ok, minus the toddler years where I don’t really care; I want to be wanted, desirable, likable and according to Google, to achieve this you must be interesting and as part of my research that’s why  I came across this book. I hunted for this book in the hope that I can get tips so I can be interesting. In the cover it says:   Rule # 1. One must be attractive .  – If you are such a good friend or sister you will tell your mates that its personality that wins. I agree, but for the others to notice you, you must be attractive or else they will not make that second look or  make an effort to get to know you thus you are not given the chance to showcase your great personality. So, yes, a nod to this rule #1. Rule #2. One must be friends with other attractive people – Ever heard of the saying “Tell me who your friends are and I tell you who you are”? Now that you’re attractive do not stop there and make friends ...

Here's the latest game I'm playing, for my age you might think this is one of those, network games that usually boys go crazy about in the net cafe, but no, its one of my facebook application and from what I heard, is the latest craze in the cyberworld. Pet Society, is a simulation game that expresses yourself through the pet you created. You can visit friends, give them gift, buy clothes. design your house even take a bath and mingle in the cafe. Just add it in your facebook application create your pet and if you have lots of friends who have pet society as well, you'll surely enjoy this game. Above is a screenshot of my pet Bolt, visiting friends in her pet society neighborhood.
