My Grandma passed away about 12 hours ago, and though it has been a while since I last saw her, (she live in the Us and I'm here in the Phils) I love her so much and she will be greatly missed. Who wouldn't? when we were kids she used to have a weekly session with us, activities which includes, cutting our toe nails and finger nails, and cleaning our ears. Yes it is a grooming session that we fondly awaits because it was like general cleaning for us a nd a little bonding time with her. I can still remember how we gather around her while we wait for our turn. She was our Christmas spirit every Christmas season, she gets us all excited for Christmas, she would let us be involve in any preparation needed. I can still picture her making her signatured chocolate drink from a "Tableria". There are lots of memories of my Lola, lots of lessons learned from her, but there is one story I always remember. After spending three days to sleep off a flu and thought was ready to go back to work last Thursday, Typhoon Isang thought of flooding our streets and yes, our house. That day some drainage system were being fixed plus it was high tide, so water ways are not as functional as they are before, resulting to floods up to the knees on the streets and ankle high in our sala. I managed to put all wiring up tie them together just in the nick of time. But some old memories were wet and my mom laid them on the floor upstairs to dry them up. These are class pictures from my grade school and high school years, some Bicol vacations and Black and white photos of my grandparents. One week has passed all is well, and hopefully it will not happen again.

As you all know, weather here in PI (Philippines) is getting weirder and weirder, a minute ago it was sunny then another minute passed it's raining because of this, my healthy looking body caught a flu and resulted to a three-day-I have no choice but to be on Sick Leave days. Not that I'm complaining, sometimes it feels nice t take a legal SL and not some make-up sickness just to get off work. Anyway so while I'm resting and reading I thought of my booklist and realized that it's getting longer and I was buying books that were not on the list. I watched Transformers the first time on its first weekend, breaking my notion to watch movies on its first weekend because of the packed theater that I dislike, but because I like the first movie I bent this and watched ROTF (Revenge of the Fallen) twice. I couldn't believe it has bad reviews really. I have shares of credible study to critique a movie and I felt that ROTF is deserving of a two thumbs uo from audiences and the critics. First I like the special effects, again how these robots transform to their wheeled alter ego, the sound effect matched perfectly with the movie and its theme. I would to commend Shia Lebeouf for good acting which I though that he was so natural doing Sam Witwicky. I was inspired to write a blog by the "Ako Mismo" TV ad, it says but I'm not sure who "Ako mismo, ay hindi mgbblog na nkakasama sa aking bansa" so here I am blogging about one of the natural wonders of nature and Albay's pride Mayon Volcano. While others got excited to see the Mayon and asked me to go to Bicol to experience its beauty, I grew up neglecting its beauty, sure when it was the first time you'll get amazed and take loads of picture with it with you "kuhang pang turista" wherein the background is more focus than you in the picture. This has been in my drafts for two weeks now. Last Memorial Day while everybody is on vacation because of the long weekend, we were in not so far away Mall. We're in to these very affordable and functional stuffs which the Japanese invented so we went to the largest Japan Home Store in Galleria loacted in their East wing. SAIZEN. These are the things I bought that day, well not of all them are from Saizen, but I told myself since I'm in the mall with someone who is equally a book fan, we went to Bestseller, National Bookstore's version of Fully Booked and Powerbooks. So I bought James Patterson's Sundays at Tiffany's which is now crossed out on my list of books to buy ( but more adding to it). One thing missing though is the bookmark I bought in Powerbooks when we hopped to Alabang Town Center to meet our friends there who is enjoying the extra day off we have from our nocturnal job, the bookmark is inside the book because as soon as I arrived my house I slipped it ...

Yesterday while walking in Galleria where Ate Jan and I pass by news stand I saw this picture in the newspaper that a ferry sank but I don't know where. I could still remember what I told Ate Jan. "May lumubog na naman?" Ate Jan replied yes and that someone from her Plurk buddies' friend died because they were one family who rode the ferry. I even said to her that Family should not be boarding same plane or boat because they say you're prone to accidents. Little did I know that somebody who was once made my day happy and chismax filled is there as well. It came as a shock knowing the news on my friend's twitter. Though it has been a short time knowing Nina, it was a fun filled shared months with her and her best friend Joie. We'll be praying for you Nina.
