Ah this one is true, I've heard of it. I came from a family who works abroad, halos lahat sila, actually konti na nga lang kami dito sa Pilipinas e. Anyway, back sa topic.
My sister lives in UK been there for quite some time and she went here in the Philippines after 5 years and the first thing she asked me to do is Dial 8-7000 (singing: Jollibee Delivery).
My Dad is in USA for, well, a very long time now and once in a awhile if there is a family friend visiting Philippines we will ask them to bring my dad several frozen tapa from the famous Maty's in Prañaque which is in a microwavable container.

Filipinos can endure the work and long hours abroad but they can't really resist not to look for Filipino food. I remembered my cousin who's in Singapore she was telling us how she craved for rice and the mashed potato included in herchicken meal in KFC. How my sister long for Kang-kong in Sinigang because they put spinach in their Sinigang in UK. How the K-9 dog grabbed her fellow Filipana's bag because there was tuyo inside the bag.
Just yesterday I told Ate Jan, the song in a San Miguel Beer commercial starring Earl Ignacio, "pumunta ako sa USA hanggang sa Canada, pinoy na may dalang isang maletang pag-asa, kay rami kong nakita ngunit..i can't remember the rest) that song described typical Filipino abroad, missing so much of the Philippines but would like better life and had no choice but to work abroad, away from their family. (sniff, sniff)

The Reading Challenge

At the start of the year there were two reading challenges I committed myself to The Goodreads Reading Challenge where you will decide how many books you can read for the year. The other one I got from my cousin but upon searching in Google it's a Popsugar Reading Challenge.  I must have underestimated my annual calendar because I challenged my self to red 50 books in Goodreads. How To Be Interesting So That Other Can Envy and Notice You

My whole 32 years of existence, ok, minus the toddler years where I don’t really care; I want to be wanted, desirable, likable and according to Google, to achieve this you must be interesting and as part of my research that’s why  I came across this book. I hunted for this book in the hope that I can get tips so I can be interesting. In the cover it says:   Rule # 1. One must be attractive .  – If you are such a good friend or sister you will tell your mates that its personality that wins. Here's the latest game I'm playing, for my age you might think this is one of those, network games that usually boys go crazy about in the net cafe, but no, its one of my facebook application and from what I heard, is the latest craze in the cyberworld. Pet Society, is a simulation game that expresses yourself through the pet you created. You can visit friends, give them gift, buy clothes. design your house even take a bath and mingle in the cafe. Just add it in your facebook application create your pet and if you have lots of friends who have pet society as well, you'll surely enjoy this game.
