Cricket FTW!

I'm starting this blog entry with this letter.

"Dear Stephanie Perkins,
I became your fan when Anna met St. Clair (view Anna and the French Kiss here). And will be reading your next books and looking forward of another intersting characters you are creating.

                                                                                                                   xxgelayxx of bookspine"

Stephanie Perkins reminds me of Sophie Kinsella in a teeny bopper kind of way. Aside from the familiar butterflies in the stomach and sumersaulting inside is always present when you read "Lola and the Boy Next Door" there are funny embarassing moments that made the reading enjoyable. Although its a little bit predictable, the events that takes place in the book makes you turn the page more. It is realistic that makes the reader relate to the story.
I enjoyed reading the book even though I am reading it beside my boyfriends who is playing Black Ops in his PS3. The sound of gun and constant cursing did not stop me from devouring the book which by the way he bought.
I recommend this book it is fun and easy to read, specially for those looking for a love story that doesn't have sparkling skin or fangs.

Home is where the Heart is

You can take the Pinoy out of the Philippines but, you can't take the Philippines out of the Pinoy. In the case, food... - Nicanor David Jr. from "Kwentong Tambay", 2006 Ah this one is true, I've heard of it. I came from a family who works abroad, halos lahat sila, actually konti na nga lang kami dito sa Pilipinas e. Anyway, back sa topic. My sister lives in UK been there for quite some time and she went here in the Philippines after 5 years and the first thing she asked me to do is Dial 8-7000 (singing: Jollibee Delivery). My Dad is in USA for, well, a very long time now and once in a awhile if there is a family friend visiting Philippines we will ask them to bring my dad several frozen tapa from the famous Maty's in PraƱaque which is in a microwavable container. Filipinos can endure the work and long hours abroad but they can't really resist not to look for Filipino food. I remembered my cousin who's in Singapore she was telling us how she craved for ric...

The Son of Neptune

I loved Percy Jackson from the moment I watched it until the last page of The Last Olympian so it is no surprise that I patiently awaits another book that will have Percy Jackson in it. I read the first book The Lost Hero but quite disappointed that Percy is missing, that's why I'm excited with the second book which most probably star Percy, well who could be Neptune's Son right? probably Tyson? Love the cover too. Will be available on October 4, 2011 To read the first chapter click here
